Cameron Trent Schmunk - Biography

Our law office was founded in 1982 by Kirk Rondeau and Alan Snell. In 1988, Kevin Jaques assumed the practice. In June, 1998, Cameron Schmunk joined our office.

Cameron was born and raised in Calgary, and attended Chris Akkerman Elementary School, Bob Edwards Jr. High School, Crescent Heights High School, and the University of Calgary, earning a variety of scholarships and his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Human Resource Development and Marketing. In addition to studying Commerce, Cameron spent a year in the Faculty of Social Sciences majoring in Psychology.. In Jr. High school, Cameron partcipated in the national Pascal Mathematics Competition and was ranked within the top 10 percent of participants throughout Canada. Cameron obtained a score in the 89th percentile on the Law School Admission Test, and was accepted at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.

From a young age, Cameron has been interested in the study and practice of law, taking any legally related courses that were offered at the schools he attended. Cameron's ambition was to practice law in a smaller office to be exposed to and develop expertise in a wide variety of areas.

In addition to professional interests, Cameron is an avid sports enthusiast. During the summer months, he plays competitive men's fastball as a pitcher and infielder. In 1999 Cameron pitched for the Saskatchewan Provincial Men's B runner-up.  In August 1997, he attended the North American Fastball Association yearly tournament in North Dakota. Also in 1997, he played for the Saskatchewan Provincial Men's Divison II runner-up. In 1996, Cameron pitched for the Alberta Provincial Men's "C" Championship team, as well as pitching for the Saskatoon Division II City Championship team. During the fall and winter, Cameron plays recreational men's hockey, curling and 5-pin bowling. In 1995 he curled with the team that won the Alberta Junior Men's Playdowns and placed 4th in the Junior Men's Western Canada Playdowns.

Cameron married his wife, Jocelyn Schmunk in August 1995, and together they moved to Saskatoon in September 1995. When Cameron completed his studies in Saskatoon in May 1998, he and Jocelyn relocated to Regina where Jocelyn has family and relatives. Cameron participates in varied activities in both the legal and non-legal community. His wide variety of interests, especially in commerce and technology, enable him to grasp, with interest, the infinitely broad applications of the law in his clients' lives and businesses. With his undergraduate degree in Commerce and having operated his own small business, he can understand and relate to the businesses of his clients.

Cameron was 'admitted to the bar' (licensed to practice law) and signed the "roll" on July 7, 1999.

Our goal is cost-effective, responsive service to our clients, achieved through a competent and highly computerized approach.
