[Image] Direct Read News Zippo Direct Read News is a proprietary protocol which permits reading, decoding, displaying and saving Usenet News articles without the use of a news reader, a decoder, or an nntp connection. Reading news articles, text or graphic, is now as easy as clicking on a hypertext link. If you have access to the Web, you have access to current Usenet News. This is not an archive, or a database of articles, this is material received on our news servers on a continual basis, 24 hours a day. This implementation of Direct Read News has been optimized for our public news service, Home Page http://www.zippo.com. An extended feature version of Direct Read News has been implemented on our subscription news service, Super Zippo. Some of the extended features are sorting (date, article number, author, and subject) and newsgroup subscribe. This is a new interface, so features will be added on an ongoing basis, and we will continue to optimize the program's speed and performance.
