If your problem doesn't fit into one of these categories, please only send us email at that point, as it takes often takes one to two weeks for us to reply to you. Subscribing, Unsubscribing, Help and other commands: ---------------------------------------------------- * Make sure all commands are placed in the Subject field * For commands requesting automated info, such as swwhere, which returns a current list of Where Apple software Updates are posted online, only the command: swwhere should be in the subject field. * If you're message bounces, try sending the message again. One of following messages might indicate a bounce: - receiving a message from a mailer-daemon@info.apple.com - receiving a message stating that mailinglist@thing1.info.apple.com (or similiar name) was busy for zero seconds. * If your message does not receive a reply, try sending the message again. In many cases, the server may have crashed and will be restarted shortly. Receiving Duplicate Messages: ----------------------------- I'm very sorry if you're receiving duplicate messages - this is a recurring problem that I'm experiencing with our combination of Macintosh-based ListStar servers and UNIX based email gateways. A subset of a few hundred people often get duplicate messages - and although ListStar is running a lot better in the last few months, I'm still unable to prevent this from occuring, despite the tireless assistance of my systems administrator and the helpful folks at Starnine Technologies, Inc. We're continuing to work at attempts to resolve this. Please accept my apologies for this continuing problem. I'm afraid that, at this point, I cannot offer any other workaround apart from unsubscribing from the mailing list. Finding paths to Apple SW Updates: ---------------------------------- If you receive Apple Software Updates notices, please refer to the path info found in the footer of each update notice - we included it here. Also, refer to the documents updated and posted to the Apple Apple SW Updates folder/directory (Info button on eWorld) for info on locating Apple Software Updates files. The three documents are listed below, the (US/WW) refers to the fact there are separate documents for the US collection and the Worldwide collection.
